Shabbat Shalom everyone!
This Shabbat, we begin Sefer Devarim, or “The Words of Mosheh”.
This book contains eleven Torah portions dedicated to the final words Moses spoke before his death.
In these portions, Moses admonishes, questions, guides, advises, and teaches lessons for the life to come.
We will also encounter songs, blessings, and prayers will be written down here, including the Ten Commandments and the Shema prayer.
The fact that Mosheh waited until just before his death to deliver his rebuke, highlights how carefully he chose his words. It shows how he knew to remain silent, acting with great caution in every word he spoke to the Children of Israel, waiting for the right moment.
I wish us all that we will learn to speak well, to know when to be silent, and to lead ourselves toward a better future.
May we merit to see the coming of the Messiah and the rebuilding of the Beit Hamikdash very soon.

השבת נתחיל את ספר *דברי משה*
אחת עשרה פרשיות על הדברים שדיבר משה לפני מותו.
בהם הוא מוכיח, שואל, מכוון, מייעץ ומורה דברים לחיים שיבואו.
גם שירים, ברכות ותפילות יעלו על הכתב במהלך הפרשיות. עשרת הדברות, קריאת שמע ועוד…
אבל דוקא זה שמשה חיכה עם התוכחה עד לפני מותו מבליט כמה משה ידע לשתוק עד היום, באיזו זהירות הוא נהג בכל מילה שהוציא מפיו לבני ישראל וחיכה לזמן הנכון.
הלואי שנזכה לדבר רק טוב, ולשמור כל דבר, טוב ורע, לזמן הנכון, וגם לפעמים לשתוק בזמן הנכון.
שנזכה להוביל את העם שלנו לתקוה ולעתיד טוב יותר,
ושנזכה לראות בביאת המשיח ובניין בית המקדש במהרה בימנו
